2010-2011 County of Orange Arts Grant Program:

Orange County Executive Edward A. Diana and the Orange County Legislature continue their support of the arts in Orange County by providing an annual county-funded arts grant program administered through Orange County Tourism. The 2010-2011 grant cycle is now open for artists, arts organizations and venues to apply for funding up to the amount of $7500 to support artistic and cultural programming in Orange County that is accessible to the general public. All artistic disciplines are eligible (literary, performing, visual, etc.) Grants are judged by a panel of professionals representing all corners of Orange County and diverse artistic backgrounds, independent of Orange County Government. The criteria and application are available below. The application must first be saved to your computer, filled out in Microsoft Word 2003 or later version, then printed and submitted. One original and six identical copies of the application and appropriate supplements must be RECEIVED at Orange County Tourism, 124 Main Street, Goshen, NY 10924 by 3pm on Friday, April 9, 2010. Be sure to read the criteria and application thoroughly. Workshops that review the application process are offered through Orange County Tourism, 124 Main Street, Goshen, NY 10924. Two identical sessions will be held on Thursday, March 18, 2010 from 10-11am and 4-5pm. Attendance at the workshop is recommended for first-time applicants to the program, but is not mandatory to apply. Reservations are required as space is limited. Orange County Arts Council:Orange County Tourism works closely with and provides support services to the Arts Council. The Orange County Arts Council's mission is to strengthen the arts in Orange County by providing educational, promotional, and information services. They accomplish this by coordinating and facilitating relationships among the arts, schools, businesses, government, and the public.

Executive Suite Gallery:
Artists are invited to exhibit in the Executive Suite Gallery located on the third floor in the Orange County Government Center at 255 Main Street, Goshen. Exhibits are on an eight week rotation. Only 2-dimensional works can be accepted. No images depicting nudity (no matter how tasteful, sorry) or smoking are allowed. If you are interested in exhibiting please contact Rebecca L. Lust at 845-615-3860 to coordinate a time slot for your show. All artwork is subject to review before final booking of the show.
